    The Héritage Plateau  residence is seeking an Executive Chef for the following position:


    • Full-time position
    • Daytime and weekday schedule
    • Salary according to experience

    What you'll be doing:


    • Provide customers with a quality culinary experience on a daily basis, in terms of both menu offerings and courteous service.
    • Maintain respectful customer relations and validate customer satisfaction
    • Ensure sound management of food services, including optimal management of budgets and resources
    • Control inventory, conduct monthly stocktakings and maintain kitchen cost management charts, in collaboration with corporate food services management
    • Place food orders with designated suppliers and ensure merchandise control upon receipt and at all times
    • Ensure safe use of equipment and compliance with health and safety regulations
    • Manage kitchen and dining room teams
    • Create a work climate that encourages staff mobilization and retention
    • Ensure a varied menu, based on the market and the seasons
    • Plan kitchen and dining room staff schedules, manage attendance and staff leave requests
    • Hire kitchen staff and plan training for new employees or those assigned to new positions.
    • Manage with management any conflicts, repeated warnings or situations contravening established rules
    • Ensure that procedures and code of ethics are read and applied
    • Ensure compliance with dress code and hygiene and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining room
    • Plan, organize and participate in special occasions in collaboration with management (evenings and weekends possible)

    What you need to work with us:


    • DEP in cooking (required)
    • MAPAQ manager certification (required)
    • 3 to 5 years' experience in the kitchen
    • Knowledge of the Maitre D, Véloce or Best system (asset)
    • Experience in team management

    What you'll be doing:


    • Participate in the preparation and cooking, using appropriate methods, of all types of food (soup, meat, vegetables, desserts, etc.).
    • Prepare light meals when required
    • Assist or replace the food helper or dining room attendant as needed.
    • Ensure food and other supplies are available for kitchen and dining room set-up.
