    We're looking for a recreation technician who's ready to get involved and take on stimulating challenges at Héritage Plateau.


    Brief description


    Under the authority of and in collaboration with the residence's Executive Director, the Leisure Technician ensures that residents receive a varied, entertaining and quality service offering that meets their leisure needs and preferences.


    Main duties and responsibilities


    • Prepare the monthly calendar of leisure activities;
    • Edit the monthly newsletter;
    • Organize, prepare and lead the residence's recreational activities;
    • Ensure the organization and execution of special events and activities (e.g. seasonal parties, residents' day, fundraising, outreach activities, etc.).
    • Welcome residents and involve them in activities;
    • Promote activities, outings and events to residents, notably by distributing calendars and monthly newspapers;
    • Ensure the evolution and satisfaction of the leisure service, notably by regularly surveying residents on their satisfaction, needs and preferences;
    • Ensure the logistics of activities, outings and events;
    • Decorate the residence for seasonal celebrations, events and special activities;
    • Make the necessary purchases to ensure the smooth running of leisure activities, in line with allocated budgets;
    • Create and send content for social networks;
    • Perform any other task related to the duties.

    Requirements


    • Diploma in recreation management and intervention techniques or equivalent experience;
    • A minimum of 2 years' experience in the leisure field;
    • Affinity and passion for working with seniors;
    • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and Publisher;
    • Comfortable with information and digital technologies;
    • Good communicator, must demonstrate a high level of professionalism;
    • Autonomy, creativity and a strong sense of customer service;
    • Fluency in French and English (mandatory).
